A sunset hot-spring resort on the southern shore of Lake Tōgō.
Tōgō Onsen is a hot-spring resort on the southern shore of Lake Tōgō in Yurihama Town, Tottori Prefecture. Springs rise from the lake bed in this unusual setting, and inn guests enjoy beautiful views over the lake. Together with Hawai Onsen, it is known collectively as 'Hawai Onsen & Tōgō Onsen'—one of central Tottori's most representative hot-spring destinations.
Foot baths are provided in the resort, and making onsen tamago (hot-spring soft-boiled eggs) right at the foot bath is a popular activity. The view of the setting sun reflected on the lake at dusk is especially memorable, as the water turns golden with the fading light—a scene that stays with many travelers. Historic shrines such as Shitori Shrine are also located nearby.
The resort pairs well with natural attractions in the area such as the Imataki waterfall, making it an ideal base for a trip that combines lake scenery and hot springs. It is accessible from JR Matsuzaki Station by bus or car.
