Tottori Hanakairo Flower Park

One of Japan's largest flower parks, set on a hillside of blooms with Mount Daisen as a scenic backdrop.

About this place

Tottori Hanakairo Flower Park is one of Japan's largest flower parks, located in Nanbu Town, Saihaku District, Tottori Prefecture. It features a one-kilometer covered observation promenade and a wealth of large greenhouses and exhibition halls where visitors can enjoy flowers and greenery regardless of the weather or season.

The grounds burst with flowers in every season — tulips, roses, lilies, cosmos, and more. The park is also the only facility in Japan to cultivate all 15 species of lily native to the country. After dark, approximately 14,000 lights designed by a world-renowned lighting artist transform the gardens into the enchanting 'Moonlight Flower Garden,' revealing a completely different atmosphere from the daytime scenery. The view of the flower-covered hillside with Mount Daisen rising behind it is one of the park's most distinctive highlights.

The park is conveniently accessible — about 25 minutes by free shuttle bus from JR Yonago Station, or about 10 minutes by car from the Mizoguichi IC on the Yonago Expressway. Parking is free and outside food and drinks are welcome, making it an easy and relaxed destination for families and groups alike.
