A thoroughbred training center with panoramic views of Mt. Daisen and Miho Bay.
Daisen Hills is a thoroughbred training center set on elevated hillside terrain in Hōki-chō, Tottori, with the sacred Mt. Daisen directly in front and sweeping views of Miho Bay below. The facility features a soft woodchip-and-bark track, an 800-meter gradient course with a 3–4% incline, a dirt course, and other professional-grade training infrastructure.
Over the past decade, the center has produced three Japanese Derby champions — One and Only, Kizuna, and Contrail — making it one of Japan's most acclaimed racehorse training facilities. The sight of horses training against the backdrop of Mt. Daisen and Miho Bay offers visitors a truly distinctive experience.
For general visitors, it is recommended to check with the facility in advance regarding viewing arrangements. Access is by car from the Mizoguichi IC on the Yonago Expressway, heading toward Mt. Daisen.
